What’s the Plan?

Here’s a general outline of our wedding itinerary:

August 22nd

4:00 PM – Check-in (for early arrivals):
If you are staying at the resort, check in to your room and enjoy a complimentary buggy tour of the grounds. You can also borrow a bike from reception or take a stroll.

7:00 PM – Welcome BBQ (at Veranda dintre Vii):
Join us for an informal get-together at Casa Timis with food, drinks, and good company before the big day.

August 23rd – Wedding Day

8:00 – 10:30 AM – Breakfast:
Rotonda restaurant.

Daytime – Relax and Prepare:
Enjoy the resort amenities (spa, mini golf, swimming, cycling) or explore the local area.

4:00 PM – Check-in (if only staying one night):
Check in, take a buggy tour, and get ready for the celebration.

6:00 PM – Guest Arrival:
Welcome drinks and group photos.

7:00 PM – Wedding Ceremony:
Terasa dintre Vii.

7:30 PM – Reception and Photos:
Veranda dintre Vii.

8:00 PM – Appetizer Course:

• Turkey pâté glazed with Feteasca Neagra wine

• Caprese

• Pork loin with horseradish

• Smoked trout salad with trout roe

• Goat cheese truffle with cranberries

• Forest mushroom terrine with truffles

9:00 PM – First Dance

9:15 PM – Fish Course:
Sea bass fillet with celery purée, oven-baked vegetables, and lemon sauce.

10:30 PM – Intermediary Course:
Cabbage rolls with beef in Feteasca Neagra wine leaves, served with roasted pepper and sour cream.

11:45 PM – Main Course:
Slow-cooked Mangalitsa pork neck with polenta and forest mushroom sauce.

12:00 AM – Cake Cutting and Fireworks:
Followed by dancing until 4:00 AM.

March 24th – Recovery Day

8:00 – 10:30 AM – Breakfast:
Rotonda restaurant.

1:00 PM – Late checkout

1:30 PM (optional) – Therme Bucharest:
Join us for a relaxing afternoon at Therme Bucharest (40 minutes from Casa Timis, 10 minutes from the airport). Please book tickets in advance. Choose access to The Palm (includes Galaxy). Elysium (spa area) can be added on the day. A 3–4.5 hour ticket is usually plenty, but you can stay longer. Bring a towel and flip-flops—rentals are extra.

Getting There

Casa Timis is a 45-minute drive from Bucharest. The closest airport is Bucharest International (OTP). A taxi, Bolt, or Uber will cost around £45–£50.

Things to Do

• Local exploring in Ploiesti

• Day trips to Bucharest, the mountains, or Dracula’s Castle

• Relax at Therme Bucuresti

• Weather: March is usually mild, bring a jacket for the evening.

• Check-out: 12:00 PM unless you arranged late checkout.
